In 2018, passport applicants need to pay in advance thru the banks the application fee for a new passport or its renewal. This is to discourage “no shows” during the appointment dates. Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano said that the Department of Foreign Affairs will issue guidelines for the e-payment in the next few weeks. Applicants will be required to pay either in half or full of the application fee.

The passport fees are: P 950.00 for regular processing (20 working days) and P 1,200 for express (10 working days).
