INGREDIENTS

1 Today’s Mixed Fruit (fruit cocktail) 836 g

1 small can crushed pineapple

3 litro packs strawberry flavored powder juice

2 pcs. young coconut

¼ kilo calamansi

3 pcs. ripe mangoes

¼ kilo coconut core (ubod)

1 very small piece of watermelon or about 2 or 3 slices

refined sugar

water

ice (cube, chips or crushed)

PROCEDURE

Drain the fruit cocktail and crushed pineapple. Put the strawberry juice in a deep mixing container. Open the young coconut and put the coconut water in the mixing container. Grate the coconut meat and set aside. Squeeze the calamansi in a glass, take out the seeds and put in the mixing bowl. Add about three tablespoons of refined sugar and about a liter of water. Stir. Cut open the mangoes and slice into small cubes. Slice in very fine cubes the coconut core. Take out the seeds of the watermelon before slicing it into small cubes. Add all the fruits to the mixture. Stir. Add more sugar and water if necessary. The mixture should be a little sweeter than normal because of the ice to be added before serving. Chill in the refrigerator.

For serving, place some of the mixture in a punch bowl or deep crystal bowl. Put in plenty of ice. Put only ice on the mixture to be served so as not to damage those not yet to be served.

Serves 10 – 15 persons.
